What can i expect during a massage?
There are some things you can always expect. You will be greeted warmly and put at ease. I will treat you with respect, listen to you, maintain confidentiality and consistently give of my best.
My massage space will be your sanctuary while you're with me. I'll give you time to make the transition from your everyday world to this serene space where you and your needs come first.
You may select the music that plays, or you may choose silence. You'll be offered a cleansing glass of water, infused with lemon or orange. You'll settle onto the massage table with its fresh linen, the temperature just right to feel safe, cocooned.
As each massage is tailored for you, for this day and how you're feeling, you will experience each session differently. Nonetheless, it has a rhythm, a flow - one stroke melting into the next as I knead the tension from your body, softening the knots, deepening the pressure, until you relax fully. Invariably, with physical relaxation comes mental calm, release.
I check in with you to make sure the massage is working for you. The pace slows as the session draws to a close. You're left in a blissful state of stillness, to savour the effects that only a thoughtfully delivered massage can achieve.
what results can i expect?
We discuss your goals before we begin. Better quality sleep? A full-on pampering session? Relief from stress? Less tension in the shoulders and neck? A reduction in anxiety symptoms? The benefits of massage are many.
We also discuss any health conditions or injuries you may have so we can determine what is achievable and how long it might take before you notice improvements. Sometimes you'll observe rapid changes. Or it could take longer, perhaps a number of sessions. I may refer you to a doctor or allied practitioner if I believe it's necessary or that you'd benefit.
HOW DO I GET THE MOST FROM MY MASSAGE?
Please drink plenty of water before and after your massage. Try to ease yourself gently back into your day or evening. Keep your schedule light if you can. Avoid strenuous exercise. Your body will thank you for the extra care.
WHY WOMEN?
I feel called to help women regain and deepen their sense of wellbeing. I made the decision to concentrate on women's health and wellbeing early in my career as I feel a natural empathy with women, their life challenges, dreams, transitions, and spiritual searchings.
Women sometimes find themselves living a life focused on the needs of others, and feel they have somehow lost themselves along the way. Massage brings them back to that place of knowing themselves, of having their needs met in a beautiful nurturing way.

I prefer to massage in the massage space because it's been designed to enhance the effectiveness of your treatment and the experience as a whole for you.
I offer onsite massage in special circumstances.
